Liturgy of the Word for Children

The Liturgy of the Word for Children is celebrated during the 10:30 a.m. Mass every Sunday.  The children (K-2nd grade) are with their families during the Introductory Rites and the Opening Prayer.  Then they, with their ministers, are dismissed to go to the Family Room.  There they hear the Scripture Readings adapted to their level of understanding.  They are guided in their shared reflections to see how those Readings apply to their lives today.  After responding to an adapted version of the Creed and the General Intercessions, they return to join their families and the congregation to celebrate the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
